I was supposed to spend my life fixing hearts.

For years, I worked as a cardiac surgeon. Somewhere along the way, though, music refused to stay a hobby. Over the last decade, I traded the operating theatre for guitars, drums, microphones and stages: Doctor Lincoln was born.

Since then, I’ve released two LPs and five singles, collaborated with artists around the world, and found my music featured in places including Rolling Stone India, The Daily Vault, Oasis Blog, We Write About Music and Rock the Joint Magazine. I’ve also performed on platforms such as Kappa TV’s Music Mojo, the Majuli Music Festival and IMA House Kochi.

Then came another plot twist: understanding my own neurodivergence.Being diagnosed on the spectrum as an adult gave me a new lens through which to understand a lifetime of experiences and the surprisingly powerful role rhythm and music had played in my life.

The question changed from “What can music do for me?” to “What could music do for people like me?”

That question became NeuDrum: a music-based approach rooted in drumming rudiments, rhythm, motor learning and neurodevelopment. It eventually grew into a broader mission to create meaningful spaces for neurodivergent people to learn, regulate, express themselves, build confidence and explore music as a possible vocation.

Today, my work lives somewhere between music, neurodiversity and human development.

I still make records. I still play. I still obsess over sound.

But now I’m also interested in something bigger: what happens when we stop asking neurodivergent people to fit into the world, and start creating spaces that work with the way their brains already do.

That’s the story so far.
